ECI Group has identified the need for a Sr Proposal Sales Manager who will be responsible of overseeing the end-to-end process of creating and submitting proposals in response to request for proposals or other business opportunities. You will serve as the focal point for ensuring all elements of the proposal align with client requirements and ECI's standards. This position is located in either our Baton Rouge or Manchester office with a hybrid working options to work remote with occasional trips to client offices as needed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives, client needs, and project requirements. This involves coordinating with various departments, such as sales, marketing, and subject matter experts, to gather relevant information.
  • Review RFP documents meticulously, breaking down client expectations, evaluation criteria, and compliance requirements. Formulate a response strategy to address client needs and stand out from competitors.
  • Develop project timelines, set milestones, and establish deadlines for different stages of the proposal process. Ensure proposal submission deadlines are met.
  • Organize and coordinate proposal resources, ensuring completion of all assignments, review of all work, and adherence to internal quality control measures.
  • Facilitate regular progress meetings with the proposal deal teams, ensuring adherence to the established proposal matrix and schedule.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the organization and the client during the proposal process.
  • Lead cross-functional proposal teams, collaborating with business unit leaders, global engineering managers, section leads, subject matter experts, graphic designers, and other contributors to ensure a cohesive and compelling proposal.
  • Guide and edit proposal content to ensure consistency, alignment with the response strategy, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Provide thorough writing and editing services for proposals, concept notes, procedure documentation, and progress reports to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Work with Business and Technology Unit Directors to promote best practices for proposal management, including developing templates, boilerplate, and libraries to support submissions.
  • Coordinate with Capture and BD Managers to determine win and pricing strategies.
  • Perform cost/pricing analysis and evaluate 'What If' scenarios.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships to contribute to successful proposal outcomes and potential future collaborations.
  • Review proposals meticulously to ensure adherence to all requirements, error-free content, and alignment with client expectations while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate final proposal document production (in print and/or electronic format), delivery, and delivery confirmation.
  • Support the production of proposals and estimates to company requirements.

Background Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in an EPC environment.
  • 5+ years of participating  or the development of proposals for competitive bids.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter capable of identifying challenges, responding to issues, and proactively implementing effective solutions with limited supervision in a global matrix environment.
  • Adept at maintaining multiple proposal efforts at once with multiple deadlines and compressed schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail. Writing and editing experience preferred.
  • Understanding of licensing and engineering terminology and project delivery methods.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting standards and timely delivery.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using social media, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., is a plus.
  • Experience in operating CRM systems and tools is a plus.
  • Able and willing to travel internationally.
