Join the ECI Group's Professional Technical Services Network as an CWI Senior Wells Engineer.  This is a Houston-Based  a twelve-month contract role with a January 6, 2006 start and ending on December 29, 2026. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Technical Scope & Expertise

• Senior-level Wells Engineer role focused on design, planning, and management of drilling operations.

• Must handle mid-level wells engineering complexity, including casing/tubing string design and activity unit selection.

• Requires translating Shell Wells guidelines/standards into practical execution with measurable business impact.

• Expected to drive technology adoption and field optimization opportunities.

Experience Requirements

• Strong, hands-on Wells Engineering experience in drilling/completions/interventions (not junior-level).

• Direct experience managing drilling operations and collaborating with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and contractors.

• Previous exposure to budget impact, operational efficiency, and leading technical recommendations.

• Experience guiding or mentoring others in Wells engineering is preferred.

Soft Skills & Leadership

• Ability to coordinate work independently and bring together inputs across teams.

• Strong communicator who can represent Shell externally as a subject matter expert when needed.

• Must be capable of delivering recommendations that influence operational decisions.
