We are searching for a highly motivated Refining Process Corrosion Engineer to join our client’s Technical Services Corrosion Team. Job Summary: The Refining Process Corrosion Engineer will support strategic efforts to ensure the mechanical integrity and reliability of refinery assets. This role involves driving continuous improvements related to process and utility system corrosion issues, anticipating potential corrosion-related damage, and collaborating with various departments to achieve project goals. This position reports to the Refinery Process Optimization and Growth Manager

This role involves driving continuous improvements related to process and utility system corrosion issues, anticipating potential corrosion-related damage, and collaborating with various departments to achieve project goals. This position reports to the Refinery Process Optimization and Growth Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage adherence to Integrity Operating Windows (IOWs) for area operating teams and drive improvements to the IOW program .
- Support Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity (FEMI) with improvements to Corrosion Control Documents (CCDs) and Corrosion Material Diagrams (CMDs).
- Conduct process studies and implement sample station improvements to monitor corrosion.
- Coordinate analytical lab sampling efforts to identify how process deviations affect corrosion mechanisms.
- Develop projects for metallurgical upgrades to combat corrosion when process changes are not feasible.
- Assist with asset end-of-life planning and materials selection.
- Manage chemical treatment programs to slow or stop corrosion.
- Participate in the New Crude Approval Process and review proposed projects impacting process or utility systems.
- Lead multi-disciplinary work groups to resolve corrosion-related issues.
- Support the development of corrosion-driven inspection plans for outages and turnarounds.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience as a process engineer in an oil refinery.
- Demonstrated experience in addressing corrosion issues within a refinery|petrochemical environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
