Join the ECI Group's Professional Technical Services Network as a Senior Occupational Health Nurse Lead.  This is a Norco LA based contract role with an anticipated  23-month duration with a estimated start on May 25, 2026.  Note: You must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident to qualify for this position.  Only candidates with the ability to work on a W2 or 1099 contract vehicle will be considered for this opportunity.

WHERE YOU FIT IN
You are a part of the Americas Health team responsible for delivering the health strategy to your key stakeholders – a defined employee population and or a line of business/function. This also includes ensuring compliance with local legislation as well as being customer centric. You provide substantial occupational health nursing input and professional leadership as a Senior Occupational Health Nurse Lead for Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Norco and US East Lubricants/Grease plants (Brockville, Fowlerville, River Rouge). This will be through leveraging the Shell Health core competencies of health expertise, science, collaboration, and business intimacy.



WHAT’S THE ROLE?
  • Lead and Manage Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Norco and US Lubricants/Grease plants East (Brockville, Fowlerville, River rouge,) staff’s health with care and compassion following protocols.
  • Plan, develop and assist in the execution Health Promotion and Performance activities in US East on behalf of local team and health performance and promotion regional experts and lead.
  • You work through Shell Health protocols, processes, to include Disability Management, to deliver agreed KPIs without the need for supervision and can adapt the protocols to local or individual need.
  • Advising key internal stakeholders (employees, HR, and lines of business) on occupational health topics and may be the local focal point for specific areas e.g. ergonomics, disability, etc.
  • Maintain and manage all records relating to occupational health nursing issues.
  • Provide nursing or clinical treatment to eligible employees with injuries and or illnesses
  • Collates and escalate issues from the frontline horizontally to asset specialists, and collaborates with central teams to deliver standardized optimized solutions
  • You coach, supervise and support less experienced colleagues.
  • Promote and implement Shell Health activities and programs to your population to improve their physical, mental and social health through care so that they can be at their best.
  • When faced with business issues and requests, first leverages existing expertise from the asset class specialists.
     
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Professional Skills:
  • Nurse practitioner or Physician assistant
  • Current license to practice in the USA.
  • Substantial experience of working in occupational health departments with a track record of delivering health outcomes and positive customer experience.
  • Demonstration of proficiency and affinity for electronic medical record and IT systems.
  • Demonstration of ongoing learning and continuous professional development
  • Ability to perform DOT exams and Fitness to Work (Emergency Response Team) exams
